Use search words, such as: anuncios de (name of country), propagandas de (name of country), commercial de (name of country), publicidad de (name of country). Once you find the ad, download it using a program such as keepvid.com. Later, (1) write down a report where your group explains in Spanish how the company marketed (comercializo) the product. (2) Explain how the ad shows knowledge of the culture and how it is culture centered. (3) Explain which cultural aspects could have been better based on your investigations about the country. (4) Elaborate on whether or not the product was a hit in the country. (5) Elaborate on possible responses from the American (telespectadores) TV audience if the same ad was used in the US (give two positive and two negative scenarios). All of these must be given in Spanish using vocabulary words from previous chapters and your knowledge. The document must be typed and submitted to teacher with the names of all group members. Also, your group will have to divide the information equally and present it right after you show your video. This information will need to be memorized, since no notes will be allowed. Typed script must be submitted by Wednesday February 16, 2011 and presentations will take place on Thursday February 17, 2011.

You may also do the following: 1) google the following painters and then write a naturalistic poem for one of their paintings. ~ Jose Rivera, Velasquez, Goya, Octavio Paz, or any Spanish or Mexican naturalistic painter, etc. If you work on it tonight and have questions I may be able to help you tomorrow.
